Unification of Spain

Here's my proposal. Hope it will be code-able
If you have all the Spanish kings titles (castille , leon , etc) why don't you get an event that it will give the choice between uniting Spain or staying as the former kingdom.
Something like that

It is possible to unite Spain under your rule
A. Great !
-giving you prestige
-giving you the new title
B. Spain is too hard to rule...
-giving you piety

Of course the Spanish title has to be created( I don't know if there are free tags)

The problem I see is that, unlike EU2, there are no event flags except for crusade events in CK (or to put it differently, all events work as random events). This means there is no way to prevent this event from firing off constantly if a player refuses to form the Kingdom.

AFAIK, there is no way to add a title via events. Also, want would be the practical purpose this new title?

There already is "Viva Espana" event on it's historical date in 1470s in EU2 for both Aragon & Castile, so I don't see why there should be any hurry to create it before, especially as it requires new event command, new tag and stuff like that.

Go ahead and mod it in a savegame then if you unite iberia.

I don't think the country itself was actually called Spain until 1516. Before that the kingdoms were still called Castille and Aragon but the kings and queens called themselves the "Catholic Kings" of Spain, more as an institution than a title.

They were effectively operated as separate kingdoms even longer than that - like the 1700's or something. Each had different customs and laws and administration. Having a unified Spain crown in the period of CK would be quite ahistorical.

Ferdinand I of Castille (Father of the current king and his brother, the king of leon) called himself "Emperor of Spain" starting in 1056.
