I am looking for the file that will properly setup ARA when it's released. If you wish to read some info on exactly what I am doing it is here http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=367693

ARA has ministers, leaders, and even tech teams. What is lacking is the proper IC and materials setup. As an example, when I release Syria in the process of setting up for ARA, it has offmap ICs and materials. I don't wish to arbitrarily modify the save game to add ICs and materials unless there is no other way.

I do hope this is not an .exe issue and there is a file I need to uncomment or whatever.

Thanks :)

There just isn't an event for ARA to get that stuff, like there is for Syria. If you can find said Syrian event (I don't know which event file it'd be located in), you could copy/paste it, change the event ID and the tag to ARA and it should work fine.

You see, my example of Syria was meant to be an example of pure release, not creation via the Vichy event. In other words, as UK or France, when I release all the Middle Eastern small countries ( Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon), after a short time they finish *setting up shop* and gain their offmap ICs and materials. I will look into those countries events however, and see if that isn't the cause for their IC/mats gain vs. a country file somewhere that I am missing.

I've found it, the file is ai_revolters.txt. The ARA event is indeed actually commented out.

Correct. It was decided (can't remember which patch) that free IC weren't needed for ARA because they have cores on over 40 IC (IIRC).

30 IC for cores to be exact but, this requires beating down ALL of the Arabian peninsula to obtain. Ofter looking over the ai_revolters.txt, I realize they have been generous but, NOT that generous considering they only have 5 IC if they have all their base cores and no extras (minimum and extras listed in my revolt.text) except for Suez, Eilat, and Sharm el-Sheikh (Consider Egypt by itself gets 15 IC) . I only gave them these three extras so that their area actually connects (and the reasons for Suez I mentioned earlier).

I will use the revolters.txt as it stands and test run it. 40 IC max isn't extreme considering what I will have to do to get it all :)

Thanks again for the help !

P.S. If anyone would like the saved game once I have tweaked it I will probably upload it.

Below is my modded(ever so slightly) revolt.txt for ARA

ARA = {

P.P.S. I was thinking PA should be their preferred government type. Wouldn't the bulk of you agree ? Also, I have changed my mind about using Sinkiang as their liberator. I am looking at another small country that actually has some basic land focused techs currently researched rather than no research on Sinkiang. Austria seems to be the best candidate for this and I would only have to move the sliders slighty, then return them to original position before taking over as ARA.
