Something I would like to see in SC is underground walkways and underground malls. This is something that exists in real life cities. In my hometown of Sydney, Australia, you can pretty much walk from one end of downtown to the other completely underground. New York City, USA, has this in a limited capacity, and Toronto, Canada, has the whole PATH network

There are already tunnels for paths, though it would be nice to have buildings with nodes to attach tunnels directly to, particularly Metro Stations with no overground connection point. It'd also be nice to have attachment nodes to connect overground paths to buildings.

There may very well be underground walkways, however, you can't really build things such as underground shopping precincts. Whilst we're at it, why not have pedestrian malls and highlines? And whilst we're at it, why not have two layers of underground train and metro stations? Many real cities have these, Sydney, New York City, etc. The closest we have is an underground metro plaza station

The problem with underground malls is that they are invisible. And right now, service vehicles would need to drive down to the mall..
Having a below-ground pedestrian access point for some buildings is fine, however.
