Thanks. Doesn't it have anything to do with unit-experience and won battles as well?

Nope. Later ship types also add to it though.

Veld's already mentioned where to see you infamy rating, so I'll just add you can quicky jump to you own diplo page by clicking your flag at the top left in case you didn't notice that yet. You can also click on the flag of any nation your at war with in the top diplo box to jump to their diplo screen with the show wars toggle set :)

Since I saw you have the strat guide I'm not sure what other tips I could add right now. Perhaps just that while you're an unciv states taken from other uncivs become full states, but once you're civilised any more you take will be colonial states. And if you need more prestiege for becoming civilised go beat up one of the minors in the area with the humiliate war goal.

More education and administration spending doesn't give any immediate bonuses, nor does it guarantee anything. It makes POPs more likely to promote themselves to Bureaucrats or Clergy because you're paying more to each individual Bureaucrat or Clergy POP.

Well, partly true. Both sliders have another effect though. Admin affects crime fighting and Education affects the rate of literacy increase. Neither directly affects RP generation, although Education does indirectly by increasing lit and encouraging more clergy.

Speaking of clergy, they're the ones teaching other pops how to read. The ideal percentage of clergy per state for this is 4%, more than that give no extra bonus. You might even want to stop at 2% per state since, overall, you only get RP from 2% of your population being clergy. There's a lot of choices to be made just about this!

Singleton: If you are still promoting Clergy with your NF, check the number in the state (not the province! :) ), it might be worth switching to a new state to avoid concentrating too many in one area. Clergy teach everyone in the state, so it's best to focus on your most populous states first.

You might also want to use some NF time on promoting bureaucrats, again especially in your populous/rich states, so you can collect more tax from them.

Sadly there's no prestige on The rights of man. For the prestiege techs that do have prestige for the early researchers you can see the current "shared prestige" in the tooltips so you can see if you're likely to get a big bonus or not.

Nice AAR so far, it's inspired me to play JAP again too.

I guess he meant this screen:

Dunno if that number is really the amount of brigades... Isn't it a bit gamey to have knowledge about every countries exact military numbers?

That's what I meant and yes it's the number of brigades. You can see everyone's army/navy size in most paradox games. What you can't see in V2 is what they're made up of though, so you see they have X brigades and Y ships. They could be tanks and Dreadnaugts or Irregulars and frigates though.

Are you able to look at the armies and navies of the world by numbers as in the Leager of V1 (number of regular divisions, number of irregulars, number of Men of War, etc.)?

What you can't see in V2 is what they're made up of though, so you see they have X brigades and Y ships. They could be tanks and Dreadnaugts or Irregulars and frigates.

I think the problem with luxuary goods early on is many pops want them but few can actually afford them. I stuck with the Court faction in my game and went on a factory building spree, Capis be damned! :)

Oh, an advantage of annexing Korea: If you become a GP you get a neighbour bonus for influencing China, the only other GP to have that early on is Russia so make the most of it! Unless you plan to invade them instead?

Rebel size depends on how many pops have joined the rebel faction. If it's not terribly popular you might just have 1 brigade popping up in a couple of provinces, if it's a vast, organised faction you could have 25k men rampaging all over. Probably because he's quite rich and has been able to lower taxes. I blame his small army and non-existant fleet:p

I think it's pretty cool that you still have a postive War Score after being beaten so soundly

He'll have a chunk of score from his blockades.

Singleton: If you want to know if you're fighting regulars or irregulars you can mouseover their brigades in combat. If their max org is 30 or higher they are regulars.

Interesting. It seems that after all, your offensive will be stopped, though not by the enemy, but by low supplies.

Too bad you went for Annexiation, otherwise you could go for your very own sunspot somewhere in future Manchukou :D

If he wanted to he could always add some other wargoals and take those in a peace deal instead. Of course he already has the infamy and would suffer a mil hit and prestiege loss for failing the annex goal.

Ouch, that is a terrible chunk of land to swallow. Wonder what your infamy will be after you pull this one off...

Oh, btw, just wondering- how do you start pulling off political reforms in an absolutist monarchy kind of country? Still need upper house approval or...? And how's economy?

If you look back to the update when he DoWed you'll see he gained 20 infamy for this, there's no futher infamy for suceeding.

Reforms work in the same way, you need Liberals in the UH or high enough Mil that the Conservatives (or socialists, should you have any) will agree to reforms.
