I just managed to force Ming into bankruptcy when I was on the verge of full-occupying them. Not gonna lie, it's sweet because after that they not only become weak as paper, also they mingplode without fail (+30 unrest combined). So i wonder, did they go bankrupt because they took a loan or two to fight me, then had no income under full occupation?

When a nation is under full occupation and don't have a significant trading presence, their income will be only the 1 ducat per month they get as an independent nation unless they receive other gifts, subject dues or subsidies.

If they still have a reasonable army or navy or loan interest payments, then bankruptcy can be on the horizon for them.
