I had this happen too, I think this is why. Very annoying, but there are a lot of bugs, everyone knows. And I'm glad I now have a game where I can compare my own run with, as I'm not sure if I'm too slow, either by still adapting or just because I'm bad at blobbing
. I think I'll restrain myself from wars though, WE seems to tick up way too fast ending wars way too quickly, which doens't sound good.

“I blinked.”
The creature raised his brow.
“That was fast. Quite impressive.”
The Watcher smiled.
I barely managed to fight once.
“They won in less than five months. It surely must be some kind of record.”
The creature laughed.
“And now they prepare for the continuation war. The humans have laid claim to the only planet the cockroaches have. Most interesting. What will happen to the rest of the cockroaches’ empire if they win?”
They are nothing to worry about.
The Watcher turned towards the screen.
“We might soon know. Most interesting… It seems time flies, as they say. The truce is up.”
War it is. Again.
The creature moaned.
“I needed to go to the loo. I can’t miss this though.”
The Watcher turned to his friend.
“It seems we might not get out answer after all. The planet survived the onslaught from the humans, and both sides are close to total war exhaustion. Most unfortunate…”
So incredibly close! One more system conquered, or the planet taken out, and we would have had a total victory. Alas, it was not to be.
He turned back to the screen.
“Ah, there it goes. Status Quo peace treaty. The cockroaches live to fight for another day.”
The creature frowned.
“Oh well. While I find the loo, might you be so kind as to pour another cup of tea?”
We mighty. We strong.

Could you maybe analyse what this new peace deal means? I've had one myself, of another war, but I can't seem to figure out what this means. It's not very clear at all who gets what to me. And you definitely look strong on the map!

I don't know if both attackers and defenders can actually win something in a single war?
I guess that one option where both sides take the systems they own when the fight is not progressing, but your explanation makes sense. It's indeed a bit unclear how to read it, but now I understand it, thanks.
When you have vacation, are semi sick and thus have lots of time, you play a lot. Even though I am on the weak i3 7th gen laptop, and not my own built desktop, I've got a couple decades more into the game since last update. AND managed to walk the dog for almost a whole hour. I am sad to report the cockroaches found another planet right before I went to war again, so there will be more wars before I obliterate them. But there is a story to tell, which problably will come tomorrow, as I need to be, you know, social with my family now.

Visiting my mother and rest of the family in the west, and my grandma comes in an hour. Also, will have to try to see my niece soon, she was born 3 days ago and I have yet to see her. So many people want to visit.
