So, I'm in the late game, deep into repeating techs, and part of a large (10+ member) alliance, of which I am the largest. I've expanded to the point that I completely surround a FE whose territory has been reduced to 2 systems, one with 2 inhabited planets, and 1 that is uninhabited. One of my alliance partners has colonized a Holy World, which the FE is pissed off about. The FE declares war on the partner, and the Alliance proceeds to stomp the FE flat. However, there appears to be a problem in that we can never set War Goals. When the war starts, I am offered to set War Goals, despite not being the defending party. So, we go to war, and it ends as a stalemate after we occupy both FE planets. I have tried to declare war myself, but when I try to set War Goals, I can never get enough points to close out the war - I can get about 40 points by selecting Liberate on the two planets. So, this repeats ad-nauseum. I'd really like to take over the FE, as there is a hole in the middle of my empire, and I wouldn't mind having the FE planets. Is there anything I can do?
