Anyone else saw that the L-Sector acts like a big magnet for unbidden fleets?
Im camping there and can literally farm their fleets, while the rest of their expansion nearly stopped, because they send every newly spawned fleet to me.

PS: When you just want to see the Unbidden purge sum fuckers, but the dont want to. :(

In most galaxies, the L-cluster is going to be the easiest way between any two distant locations. If more gateways were open, perhaps they'd use that network instead - if they can.

Neutral gates and wormholes are open for all empires. I had several games which let the crisis go straight in my empire and they refused to expand and kill weak xenos instead. Crisis should be aware of superiour sectors and avoid them! Really unsatisfying after waiting like 250 years to not see my wished ending happen. :(

Same happened to me, but I feel it kinda works. I destroyed dozens of fleets, but eventually they sent 6 or 7 at me at once and overwhelmed my defenses, allowing them to make incursions into my home space.

It was quite fun to fight my way back to control of the terminal egress and then use it to launch an offensive into Unbidden space.

However, if you do want to allow the unbidden access to you enemies, just make sure you haven't built any titan lasers on your starbase. If the Unbidden are not in range of a fleet or starbase, in my game at least, they tended to jump to an l-gate system and leave the egress alone.
