EDIT: oh yeah whats byzance-peace?

It is a cheat, when you use it tha AI will accept all your diplomatic offers

To use it:
1. Open the console by pressing F12
2. Type in: byzantine
3. Make any diplomatic action that you want
4. If you then type: byzantine again in the console then the cheat will be disabled
5. Close the console with ctrl+F12

very cool I used it when england dow on my vassal despite having a 170+ relation with the king. But this time I was more prepared; still I peace after fierce fighting by giving up a vassal Then got him back because he declared independence plus his having some difficulty at home front.

Expanding in morocco is a great way to build up strength. I also went crusading (only took my vassals troops, so no upkeep), when I was under french rule that helped built up prestige and piety (became papal controler), plus took antiach nad some other regions that gives em nice income.

I guess that before you can have a very successful game you need to learn how the AI neighbors act. Being independent is nice but at the beginning it's more interesting having a strong liege to help you fight for new territory (like the crusades). I think I know pretty much my way around the game. Well now I'm trying to consolidate my territory wit infrastructure and making sure my vasal stay loyal. I haven't use a single cheat until the english conflict.

Alright so I have an other question: I could control 11 desmene directly and have 100% efficiency. Right now I control 5 demesne and have 22 vassals. Should I take more direct control of my territory?

All of my vassals only have 1 demesne and I can easily crush them. Only thing I don't feel like taking over non catholic regions, cause right now I have one that is pagan (Infa) and keeps on giving me problems.

Depends on how you want to play. Do you want to be the mean king or the beloved king? :D Both ways work, i.e. you can grab some land back by revoking titles if you feel like it and can handle the loss of loyalty among your vassals. Or you can let them keep their land and seek expansion elsewhere. Or just stay at 5 provinces.

I want to be feared by my vassals, cause I tried to be nice with them and all. But like a saying goes: you give your hand and people take your whole arm (by starting a civil war!). I was in the middle of reconquista when my vassals started civil war.

Well the war is going well since I'm using the emirate of sevilal troops to crush my ennemy which is clearly outnumbered. Only thing is that I had to mobilize my loyal vassals armies and crush them, causing my reputation to become really bad (from honorable to bad reputation).

I am scared that neighboring kingdoms might take this as an excuse to start picking fights with my vassals. This is starting to stress me (well actually me not my ruler) and my king is almost in his death bed.

I CAN HEAR THE VOICES TALKING TO ME!!!

If you want to play mean, you should not get too many vassals because every time you mistreat one vassal (revoking title or something like that) all your vassals get loyalty hits. Mean king is best played in a smaller kingdom. Oh and if you're a mean kings then you absolutely need to institute royal prerogative. :D

(Which has nice events for you, the ruler, but bad events for your relations with vassals.)

Okay so in my large kingdom I should be a good king whith feudal contract?

I would recommend having some dukes with maybe to or three counties each, in regions where you could easily retake later, but give out the poorest regions first.

Yes, feudal contract and try to do good by them. If you have a really odd kingdom somewhere that may be difficult to defend in the long run, I'd almost go ahead and let it free. IDK, personal choices there. Just save before you make big decisions.

Whenever, I play as brittany, I do anything possible to try and create a royal marriage with Aquitane. *Works better as holland though*. Kill off the duke of aquitanes son while he's still a child, and by marrying his daughter within around 20-30 years you can end up with a son who inherits your realm, and that of aquitane! If you want to beat france, that's the way to go :p. Aquitane has a huge number of counts etc.
