Unable to to Run Sons of Abraham Windows 7 gamersgate

I'm having difficulty running the newest DLC that I bought on Gamersgate. I went into the in game store and installed it (though it installed suspiciously quickly), and when I restarted the game SoA would not appear. I went to the in game store and and the only opinions were to "Buy" but that was greyed out and when I moved my mouse over it it the tool tip said that it was already purchased. I did remember to tick the new DLC in the start up splash screen. I went into the folder to find the DLC, and deleting the newest one and tried to reinstall SoA but ended up with the same result.

Have you made sure you updated to the latest version of the game 2.0? It is required to be able to play SoA.

Exit Steam and then you'll be able to do it
