Unable to to create un-broken saves?

Hello, I can't seem to play the game without my saves eventually or immediately breaking.

I have all the DLC. I started a game a while ago for the first time in about a year and got about 20 in game years into it before I got to a point where the save would crash no matter what about two months onward from the auto-save. I had to abandon it. I unsubscribed from mods (just some UI stuff), verified game files through Steam and tried a new game. At some point in that game it crashed as well. I deleted the whole game and its My Documents folder and re-installed CK2. I've just started a new game with no mods and was customizing my coat of arms when the game crashed, I hadn't even unpaused it yet. I start the game and try to load into that save from the launcher and I got this error message.

Please help me I would like to play this game

Has this always happened ever since you've had the game? Or only since what change or update?

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK2/settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/CK2/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

Nooo, I've had the game since its come out, it's been through more works/doesn't work cycles on more machines than I could ever remember. I haven't played it on my current system though except for the times I mentioned.

No smoking gun there, I was expecting to see 32bit Windows.

Try changing that settings.txt as follows:

refreshRate=60
fullScreen=yes
borderless=no

And add steam.exe and ck2game.exe to the Exceptions list of your antivirus app.

Does this happen to both Steam and local saves? Manual and autosaves?

Hello, sorry for the delay I wanted to get plenty of hours in to make sure it was working. It seems to be!
I made the changes you suggested, and I switched from Local to Steam saves just before my last post, so one of those things was the cause.
