I've encountered a bug where I am sometimes unable to select certain counties or armies. It seems to happen randomly and to random counties/armies. I can't figure out what is causing it. I read somewhere that alt-tabbing out of the game was the issue, so I tried to run the game in a window and without alt-tabbing in full screen, but the issue still appears.

It's very frustrating and the only workaround seems to be to use the find county button and type in the name. If an army is bugged that army is effectively stationary and I have to disband and call levies again if I want to have control.

Anyone have any way to fix this or a better workaround?

EDIT: I saw other threads where people had a similar issue running Linux, I'm on Windows 7. Also, I'm running on an Radeon 6950. Some people said that video drivers might be the issue. Is that a problem unique to ATI cards or NVIDIA as well? If it is a video driver issue, does anyone know what current ATI drivers work best?

The alt-tab issue was peculiar to Linux.

Has this always happened for you since installing the game, or only since what change or update?

Are you using any mods? If so, does it happen without them?

Are you saying this only happens to some armies, others on the same map can be selected? If so that doesn't sound like a video driver issue either, but you may as well try the latest driver, if yours is 64bit Win7 that is http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64
