Unable to Save Games

When I try to save, I get an error message that it can't open the file. I'm given the option to abort, retry, or ignore. If I choose abort or ignore, the save game window closes and I'm back at the options menu. If I retry, the entire Aod/C.O.R.E. game crashes to desktop.

Does this happen with AoD vanilla, too, or is this a CORE only problem?

Sounds like a permission problem in Windoze Vista or higher, start the main/vanilla aodgame.exe at least once with admin rights.

Or install AoD in another directory than the default directory, as the latter is installed under 'program files', which has additional Windows admin protection.
