Unable to progress at Howling Rock in Stone Sea (Spoilers)

Sided with the Chorus and trying to get into the Earthshaker's Camp to kill Cairn and end the Edict of Stone, but there appears to be no way into the camp. I've exhausted dialogue options with the disfavored mage at the entrance over the camp and Octave, and also the ones at the peephole at the palisade. There doesn't appear to be anything else that you can click on at the map.

Octave just asks if you have the shard yet (I have around 10 Azurelith shards gathered elsewhere, but no, he wants the one that the guy on the other side of the chasm has, I'm sure.)

The guy on the other side of the chasm doesn't respond to me anymore, except for a taunt about needing to grow wings.

The peephole said something about them leaving at night, and I thought about ambushing them, but there doesn't appear to be anyway to advance time, except by traveling or using camping supplies, both of which I've done to no effect.

There are no more quests I can do to advance things. I'm stuck.

You need to get a pure Azurlite shard, talk to Octave about that and he'll tell you in which area you can find somebody who has one.

Thanks, LungHan, but not helpful. I already know that I needed a pure Azurelite shard, and Octave doesn't say anything, as was already stated in the original post. Neither does the journal, for that matter.
