I just bought HoI2 and I can't play it. :( I've got a Dell 2407WFP 24" Widescreen LCD and I can't play the game. The text is garbled and looks horrible and if I look at it for more then a few minutes I get a headache. How do I switch the game to run in my native resolution of 1920x1200? If I can't switch the resolution, who do I talk to about a refund since I can't play it? Thanks.

That hack doesn't work. And the email form on ParadoxPlaza.com to contact Support directly doesn't work under Firefox. I want a refund, plain and simple. If someone from Paradox Games doesn't contact me, I will file a complaint with my credit card company. Thank you.

THe game only supports one resolution when doing full screen. The only option you can do is run it in WINDOWED mode to support your native resolution but that mode is unsupported (it works fine and I use it but it is unsuported).

As for wanting a refund, I can't say yay or nay to that as you will need to contact a Paradox employee as I am just a moderator and support person.

NOTE:

Many games run in many different resolutions, I am sorry you purchased an LCD with a native resolution. Unfortunately this type of monitors run less expensive than LCDs that do not have native resolutions but it is not the responsibility of the developer to create code for specific resolutions due to your own hardware requirements. Thats like saying you are still using a x586 processor and it cant run HoI 2 Doomsday so you want a refund because you refuse to upgrade your PC. I doubt your credit card company will issue you a refund because of your own hardware limitations. Either case I hope you decide to try WINDOWED mode as you can then keep your native resolution and run the game which should then view perfectly fine.

EDITED: FYI: You must play WINDOWED mode in 16 bit colors

AFAIK, every LCD has native resolution. It's simply because LCD is designed to have fixed raster.
