Unable to pick Ambition?

Guys,

I just installed the game, was going to try the CK2+ (and now also Prince and Thane) mod...

But when I start a game, this also happens with no mods active, I cannot pick a Ambition? only plots?
I'm talking new game -start, first minute in.

This is not right, right?

I remember picking a ambition, like have a son, from the get go?

They changed it so now you can have a plot and an ambition at the same time you pick ambitions from the character view sorta like how you can plot to kill a guy by clicking that button on the bottom left corner of his portait
