Unable to minimize game/return to desktop

Hello!

I have noticed that in CKII and EUIV it seems that you are unable to hide the game (return to desktop or minimize) when you play in fullscreen mode with the Mac version. Why is this? There are for example no problems with the EUIII port from Virtual Programming.

Is there a known workout around for this apart from running the game in windowed mode? Is there any hope for this to be fixed in a future patch?

I have the game on Mac too, and no, there is no fix or workaround known, sorry.

A simple oversight at the beginning, I believe, plus that there have always been higher priority things to fix. I'll actually go check that there is an official bug report on this, I know it's been talked about.

I forget, does the Steam overlay work though? And, you could play in Windowed mode of course, have you tried that?

The Steam overlay works ok. No problem there apart from the fact that I don't use it..

I am playing in windowed mode at the moment but that is wasting lots of valuable screen estate. If I let the resolution available to CKII remain at 2560x1440 you have a hard time accessing some stuff along the window borders and next resolution available seems to be 1900x1200 (somethingish). Quite a step down..

If you manually edit settings.txt you can set your own resolutions down to the individual pixel.
