I pre-ordered Stellaris for both my son and I.
We were able to play together when the game first came out. Within a few weeks though we lost our ability to play. Whenever we try to join (either him or I hosting), we get an error that says the versions are not the same.
We have no Mods installed.
We have the same DLCs.
We've uninstalled/re-installed multiple times.
It seems the problem is specific to him. If I open the multiplayer list, I see it populated with tons of games. He sees none...however, if he unchecks "same version", he sees all the same games I do. Of course, he still can't join any as it gives the different version error.
This is particularly frustrating as we've been waiting/hoping this problem would be fixed so many months after release.
I've seen other threads with the same problem, none of them have any definitive fix, and none of them seem to be acknowledged by Paradox.
I'm sincerely hoping that someone Paradox can find a way to correct this problem quickly.
