Unable to install HOI2 on Vista laptop

Hi!

I have the Hearts of Iron Anthology. I managed to install the game without a sweat on my PC (with XP), but I can't do it on my laptop (which is running Vista).

The install menu appears, letting me choose which version of the game I install (HOI, HOI2, Doomsday or Armageddon). However, as soon as I choose HOI or HOI2 (no point trying the others obviously), Vista says : "Program stopped working" right away!

Any help? I was hoping to show the game to a friend at school tomorrow evening.

You cannot use the installer to install HOI2 on a Vista machine.

You have to navigate the folders on the Anthology CD and find the appropriate folder (Doomsday for example) and run setup from there.

Also do not install the game in the default folder... install it elsewhere like C:\games so Vista wont remap your save games.

And thirdly turn off UAC before you do all of this....
