Unable to grant land to my unlanded son and heir

As king of england I early betrothed my son (2nd in line) to the Duke of Aquitaine's daughter (heir). Both are now adults and married (regular), she is the Duchess and my second son is now heir to my throne. However the strange thing is he has left my court for Aquituine and I'm unable to grant him any land. Am I missing something here or is this a bug?

I think it has to do with him being in another court and maybe having a new liege? Otherwise try inviting him back to you're court. cheers!

This is why. You've let him off his leash.

Because she is landed and he wasn't he moves to her court...

And because he is not in your Realm you can't give him a title. If you had married him off you one of your Duchesses you could have...

If he had a title before the marriage he would stay in your realm (and be married), however I have found that after setting up a good betrothal and granting the heir land, he then failed to act on the betrothal which timed out when he hit 20 and he promptly married someone else...
