Can you mix the UMP and VIP mods?

I can't find any definitive answer myself but is the UMP and VIP projects conflicting or mutually exclusive?

You should probably directly ask the UMP folks... since VIP was started first, and they chose to go on their own rather than contributing to it, I'd assume they have reasons for doing so....

I think they focus on two seperate things. The UMP seems to be an AI/Economy mod while the VIP is as all about new events. At least thats the view I have gotten. As to whether they would be mutual uncompatable I don't see any reason why they would be but, hey what do I know.

I see no reason why UMP should be incompatiable with VIP. As UMP is mainly economy/ai/balance related mod, with some events added for better gameplay. Heck, I even crosscheck id numbers, to make sure they are not in use by VIP in order to avoid any possbile errors in future.

I agree. VIP, as far as I know from my involvement with it, has focused on adding and modding events, and on province resource allocation, and on POPs, in an effort to enhance historical accuracy and detail. VIP North America Group hasn't added any AIs or anything such. (I believe that VIP South America Group may have added some AIs, however.)

Generalissimo might know better than me what all is in VIP.

South America has AI's for every country, and the triple alliance and paraguay had one separate to paraguay war. The focus was in RR development and in industrialization based on their RGO's, some historical diplomatic settings and finally the garrison.

No making any attempt on front AI or any other war part.
