Thanks for the shipping information. There's a lot more going on than I had expected. Looks like Rep. Spain, Poland and GB all have decent navy's in Europe. I wonder how that's gonna play out.

Yeah, I've been passing the time by building myself a navy. Don't plan on doing anything with it, just for fun.

As far as the mod files, I've actually already expanded on the files, so much so that what I have now is nowhere near what I'm playing in the AAR. After this AAR I'll do one with that one, and post the files with it.

And the sunk ships. Japan and Republican Spain are the most lethal navies thus far. Its a massive picture, so I'm just going to post the link.

Well, this is embarrassing. I was moving all of my modded files out of my Doomsday folder and into their own to keep things more organized, and seperate my AAR saves from my regular saves. That way I would have a regular Doomsday game, as well as a seperate Doomsday game that only used my Ultimate Showdown mod files. So anyway, I started up the game with the intent of updating, and noticed there were no save games in this new install. Turns out I forgot to transfer the save game files from the normal DD folder before I cleared it out, so I lost the save. For those of you counting at home, thats the third lost save file!

The good news however, is the 3.0 version of the mod is just about ready. Just give me a day or two more to put the finishing touches on it, and I'll be ready. And this time I promise I'll backup my saves.

The Ultimate Showdown 3.0 - Yet More Showdowniness​

New version, here is what I added.

• To make up for Europe's advantage in total IC and infrastructure, Asian, African, and Latin American countries get 20 IC in their capital to start instead of 10 like before.
• All countries start with at least one airfield. All coastal countries start with at least one port. Now countries like Cyprus and Madagascar will actually do something.
• Added an event that will cause everyone to declare war on everyone else from the start.
• Tons of new countries

Cool AAR!

My bets:
Winner: CSA, because I think they will be able to beat the distracted USA for the control of eastern North America and once they have that, the rest of the New World is a foregone conclusion.
First Eliminated: Luxembourg (safe bet I know)
European Winner: Vichy France, as they have strong natural borders (Alps and Pyrenees) that can cover their flanks while they grab France. Then they should be strong enough to beat the rest.
African Winner: South Africa- it's a boring choice and everyone is voting for it, but... they're going to win. It's that simple.
Asian Winner: India- India's position is extremely strong and I think they will have absorbed half of Asia before they encounter any serious opposition, by which time they'll be invincible.
North American Winner: CSA, who I also expect to take over the world! If the CSA are beaten, ultimate victory will fall to whoever secures the east coast. That's where the power is in the western hemisphere.
South American Winner: CSA again. Before the North Americans turn up to grab everything however, I expect Brazil, Columbia and Argentina to partition the continent between them with Columbia ultimately emerging strongest.
