I'm glad this is still alive, I was getting a bit worried as I got towards the end of the current thread.

It's painfully obvious (literally and metaphorically) that you are ignoring requests to upload the file, but I'll ask anyway, are you planning on uploading it at all? After you are done, maybe? I'm in love with the thought playing this scenario on my own.

Hey guys! I had to resurrect this thread because I have relevant information: I'm making an Ultimate Showdown ripoff myself! In fact, once I'm ready I might even upload it if you guys are interested. I'd love to know if there is any interest, enough for me to work with uploading in mind. More importantly, though, I have a question. I'm about 2/3 the way, having broken up France, the UK, most of Europe and some of Asia, but the game runs extremely slowly. It lags even on January the 2nd (after all the wars are declared) - even on Extremely Fast it feels like Normal or maybe Above Normal speed - and it takes about 10-12 seconds to switch between days. Is there some surefire trick to vastly improve speed? Because if not, I can understand why Subi just abandoned this.

I made an attempt at this last year, and ran into the same thing you did. Also, it would reliably crash on me
fairly early (Feb?). I *think* that once countries start getting eliminated, the game will speed up. If you can
get it working, I'd love to get a copy.
