In my UK game I did the following:
1) Upgrade INFRA in all homeland provinces.
2) Start a quenue of 2 GAR/ART and 1 GAR/ENG to protect your homeland and important locations (Gibraltar, Suez, Malta, Singapur, Hong Kong). Build some seperate ART brigades for all other units.
3) Start building 1 run of AAA and RADAR.
4) Build some ships - I went for 3 runs of CVL and 1 SH-BB.
5) Build a few INF or MOT units and maybe a few ARM divisions (I had 3 iirc).
6) Construct some IC in your top 3 IC provinces.
7) Build some INT squads.
From there on you have several options, I decided to go for an air campaign, so I added 2 STRAT to my quenue and added another 2 later on. First war years were though against the Luftwaffe, but thanks to airport strikes I managed to get the upper hand. Italy wasy kicked out of Africa and I managed to hold Japan in India.
In 1941 I started my first severe bomber campaign with 16 STR against germany, performing airport strikes all over France and Germany. Again my losses where high, but germany did lose far more. In 1942 I managed to break the back of the Luftwaffe and basically got air superiority over europe. In early 1943 I had 30 STR squads and started massive bombing campaigns on France and BeNeLux. In mid 1943 (my STR were upgraded to tier III) I shifted towards Italy and bombed them into the stone age - they were left with 9 IC throughout the rest of the game.
In late 1943 the situation was crititcal for the Soviet Union (Moscow taken, Stalingrad overrun, Baku lost) so I started bombing Germany and around early 1944, Germany was down to 30 IC. And that was it, more or less. I produced some MECH and in mid 1944 I landed in France - all german units were out of ORG and supply, the russians were on their way to Poland and I basicly drove through europe towards Berlin. In mid 1944 the war was over for GER and ITA.
I rebased all strat to Hong Kong and started my bombing campaign a few month later, within weeks Japan was bombed to the stone age and the rest was simply a cakewalk.
