UI/Font is way too blurry

Hi, i just bought the game and the dlc subscription but im not able to play this Game, because the UI is blurred.

My Resolution is 1440p (2560x1440).

My Drivers are up to date and i tried to change some stuff in the Settings (also in the txt file in documents). I also tried to disable fullscreen optimization and override high DPI values and i tried installing those "bigger ui" mods from steam workshop but they are outdated.

So what im gonna do now?

Did you change the "GUI Scale (TEST)" in the video options from 1.0 to something else? That results in in a blurry display, because it just scales the stuff up. I don't think a bug report is useful in that case, because that is just an experimental unfinished feature. But if you do make a bugreport, you should mention which gui scale you used.

If the fonts are too small with a scale of 1.0, you can do one of the following:

• reduce the resolution (probably also blurry)
• use the scale_ui mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1095412287 But that is complicated to install
• use a font mod which makes the font bigger and better to read(this would only increase the font size slightly). Many people use the Stellaris UI Font mod. I use the Better UI 2 - Verdana Font together with the Better UI 2 mod.

All the mentioned mods should work in 1.31.

Hi. I also dont think its a bug. The Fonts are just not made for high resolutions i guess. because the Issue is well known (found many threads on Google/reddit/steam). And yes, i used the ingame UI Scaling, which made it that blurry.

I will try to install all those mods and i wanted to say thank you for helping me

But don't activate them all at once. The only ones which are compatible with each other are the two bigger UI mods.

The Better UI 2 mod mentioned a few posts above didn't do anything on my version (1.33.3 "France"), and I saw the following message in the workshop comments: "This mod looks to be abandoned by the author at this point and no longer works with current versions of the game. Here is a recommended alternative for font issues: <removed>"

This MRBM Font mod, together with an UI scale of 1.2, gives a good result in my case with a 1080p display. For someone who isn't bothered by small fonts, the default UI scale looks better than with the original font too.

The Better Font Mod (post just above) is improving the size somewhat, so it's a good alternative, but it remains quite small. Changing the UI scale blurs the font so I would not recommend doing that.

The MRBM Font mod gives a better result for me though, but this one is nice as well, matter of preference.

(I still can't put any link in my posts, but a search directly leads to this mod)
