With the current system of system occupation in Stellaris, it is difficult to, at a glance, see which systems are fully occupied. It took me until 200 hours in game to realize that there were spikes coming out of the occupation symbol for fully occupied systems over semi-occupied systems.

I think what would look better at a glance is a black and colored border around the occupiers empire symbol next to the system, with the color being yellow to represent semi-occupied and green to represent fully occupied. The black will just be to help contrast from the colors of the empire's flag.

Reactions:
I think I already reported this a year ago there, but perhaps, it was not clear enough.

Besides an uneasy UI, eventually, the real issue, a display bug, is that the UI doesn't make any difference between a partially occupied system and a fully controlled system when the owner controls the starbase, and a non-owner occupies at least one colony in the system. Yeah, the player has to enter each system to visually check planets' name plates, or open, unfold and check the outliner for any red superimposed icon on a planet's icon, but the outliner isn't a thing if you are the attacker!
In this border case, the galactic map is of no use.

I'm not sure, but I think that both Burch's and Pancakelord"s mods only change graphics. If so, they make things more visible between partially and fully controlled/occupied, but don't address the bug.
