No idea what you really mean but if you're in a war with unexplored countries you "explore" their capitals (so you can negotiate for peace).

Look at the date and ask yourself whether that's likely.

What's more likely is that someone else European got dragged into a war with those countries and you only just got the shared info on the capitals they saw then.

Don't think so. Like, if it were just one, maybe. But it's a bunch of nations from Timmies to Malacca. In 1501.

I can see random uncolonised provinces in North and South America, too. And Mesoamerica.

I have Thick Borders and Recoloured Water on, nothing else.

It's also a multiplayer game, but neither of us has been at war with Asians — it'd be literally impossible for us to reach Yeren in any way at this point. It's probably a bug, but I imagine someone on the forum would be able to explain it, if it isn't a bug.
