If a character is ugly to the point of having a trait about it, there should be some uglifications in place, like a deformed face. It's even imersion breaking when you see a beautiful woman with the 'Ugly' trait. Also, actual harelips.

Personally I prefer blonds, and as there are hardly any blonds in CK I've come to the conclusion (by using your logic) that the vast majority of females in the game should be given the ugly trait...

I think that the "double chin" facial feature should be reserved only to Gluttonous characters.
its too subjective what is ugly and what is not, and i bet that most people in middle ages would look ugly by todays standards anyway

Actually the more we look into the issue, the more we realize that ugliness and attractiveness is not nearly as subjective as most people think. There does seem to be a universal recognition of what is good and bad looking, regardless of culture or upbringing.
Can't agree enough. Would be nice to see more of a link between genetic traits and portraits, to make the game more immersive.
Are you saying someone could find the guy I posted attractive? Some guys prefer blondes, some brunettes, but everyone can see ugly when it stares them in the face.

A character with the trait attractive or ugly would be someone deemed attractive or ugly by the vast majority of people around them, even if it what is attractive/ugly is a subjective opinion that differs from person to person, one could still come to the conclusion that a character deemed as "ugly" would have some sort of physical traits that makes the majority of people around them think of them as such. Also, since both of these traits aren't too common in the game, one could the assumption that a character deemed ugly (or attractive), must truly be godawfully ugly in some sense, since the entire world thinks less of them for it too, and vice versa for attractive.
That would depend on when they were cut. if you cut a teenager - sure, no beard for him. But if you cut the grown man with a vast facial hair - I would not expect it to fell off instantly.

I'm almost 100% certain that's a typo. The Hapsburgs aren't really well known for being Jews, although everyone knows of their infamous jaws.

NO. As TheGreatSnoop clearly demonstrated with his picture above, there are universal cultural indicators of what beauty is. Facial and body symmetry and aesthetics, and a lack of deformations determine beauty, not hair color, eye color, or skin color. Thus albso437's argument is rendered moot.
Facial and body symmetry, aesthetics, and good proportion are all OBJECTIVE, scientifically proven. So, this would be amazing to implement.
