Ubuntu - Stellaris won't start

Hi guys,
If I post in the wrong thread, appologies, couldn't find the right one.

Stellaris won't start in Ubuntu. I tried it with 16.04 and with 16.10. Is this happening only to me?
Can someone help me?

P.S.:
I bought the game from Steam.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.
However, when i click on edit account, I'm being sent to the Paradox account(where I already linked my account).
Under the forum account(https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?account/), I see nowhere the linking button or page.
Under external accounts, I only have the facebook option.

I'm running Stellaris without problems on Kubuntu 16.10 (16.04 also worked). Installed with Steam. What sort of error do you get?

That's the problem. I dont get nothing. I start it from steam, looks like wants to start, but nothing happens.
Same when trying to start it from cli. No message.

I have 2 monitors and Cinnamon.
Could this cause the problem? Dota and other games work...

What command are you using on the cli? It should be something like: steam steam://rungameid/281990 . Also, is your video driver updated and hardware specs as recommended?

I was trying to start stellaris from the steam folder. My bad ...

It looks OK. Not sure if gamid 281990 is right for you, though. If installation created any shortcuts on your desktop or in the start menu try to check them for the correct command/number.

I get problems with launching certain games due to my anti-virus for some reason. Try disabling it and launching the game.
