First, I want to thank you for releasing Tyranny on GOG. I appreciate you supporting DRM-free gaming with it.

Do you plan to release the game in 64-bit? I'm specifically interested in the Linux version, but the question can be probably general. The vast majority of Linux users are on 64-bit systems if they use x86 hardware, so releasing 32-bit build only misses your target audience of Linux users. Sure you can still run it installing needed 32-bit libs, but it's not ideal. Were there some technical problems which prevented you from releasing the game in 64-bit? If not and you are just trying to support the vanishing amount of 32-bit installations, may be you can release both 32 and 64-bit versions? That would at least address the vast majority of Linux users better.

Thanks!

I'm also very surprised Tyranny is only available on 32bits, and this worries me a lot, since even Ubuntu thinks about to ditch out their 32bits support.

This kind of architecture is mainly used on Linux for non-capable hardware, which is not the target of Tyranny.

The last survey on GamingOnLinux.com also reports 32bits arch represents only 0.17% of Linux gamers. So close to nothing at all.

For me, 32bits can be ditched out completely for Tyranny and focus on the 64bits arch instead.
I'm interested in Tyranny, but this issue kept me from buying it sadly.

We wanted to ship both Linux and macOS Tyranny with 64-bit executables. As you mentioned, it was definitely not a marketshare reason why we decided to target 32-bit. Pillars also was able to ship a 64-bit executable. The problem was technical in that that we have external libraries that didn't have 64-bit versions ready by the time we shipped. If those libraries are updated, we may revisit publishing a 64-bit version.

I see. Not having 64-bit support in libraries is somewhat strange today though, unless they aren't supported anymore or don't have active development. Being 32-bit causes for example this bug on XFS. I hope 64-bit version will come out eventually once those libraries are updated.

I tried to narrow it down in plugins, and it looks like all except for libpops_api.so should be available in 64-bit. And libpops_api.so looks like Paradox account library. Didn't Paradox already release some 64-bit games, or they are all 32-bit still?
