Why not make it so that the player can type in however much ic they want to spend on a resource, versus sliding the sliders.. and if they chose to do so have the other sliders automatically adjust to the input value? Shouldn't even be very hard to program.

It would. It would most of all need drastic changes in the graphic design. And the value added is not necessarily positive.

You would need a military budget page where you would allocate percentages to different armed forces and infrastructures. You could only move in 5% increments every month.

HOI2 is like a car where you can see all the pistons firing and spark plugs that aren't working. I just want to step on the gas and drive, baby!

Guess it's not quite as easy as programming VB where you just toss in an unlocked text box and weight its value (converted from text to floating decimal) to the slider and then with a few if statements have it adjust other text and slider values on the change event. Darn.
