I am thinkhing of buying the Medieval Pack which includes Two Thrones

1)What the main concept of Two Thrones?

2)Does Two Thrones has any new patches.
Or it is a discontinued product?
Is it going to have any new patch?

3)Also, the map of two thrones is the same with EU2?

Main concept: build armies, conquer provinces. Limited diplomacy. More province enhancements available than in most of paradox's games, but this makes it somewhat tedious (none cost much gold, so to play 'properly' you need to spend half your time clicking on provinces).

Patches: no. It appears to have been abandoned to its fate. It doesn't really need much in the way of bug-fixing patches, more a reworking of some of its features. Notably:
- ship-building is next to impossible if you're at war with someone who has naval superiority
- difficulty level needs to be significantly enhanced, both in terms of AI ability and the general cost of everything. There is no army maintenance, armies are relatively cheap to acquire, and the one feature which could 'slow' a player (needing to keep the 4 classes happy) is under-utilised.

Map: nothing like EU2. It's very 'textured' (I find it quite ugly, myself), and only covers France and England (with a few surrounding provinces: Ireland, Scotland, and some in Spain).

---

I would say it's only good for MP... except I've never actually managed to play MP with anyone, so I can't really say that :)

I believe Crown of the North (well, Svea Rike III) was developed concurrently with EUI, so that's not strictly accurate... Two Thrones, on the other hand, was a simple money grab; I think it cost them hardly anything to produce (they just employed two forum modders to do the scenarios/event scripting, and presumably got someone to make a new map... there seem to be almost no code changes).

1)What the main concept of Two Thrones?

EU-lite, basically. You try to either have the highest score, or defeat all of your enemy before time runs out. It is like a stripped down version of EU II, but with some interaction with the population.

3)Also, the map of two thrones is the same with EU2?

No.

Personally, I find it to be a nice map.
