Hello all, my first question is simple, we've heard about the major religions that are in the game, i.e. Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Islam, Tengrism; but I'm curious what other ones there are. I believe I saw Zoroastrianism lingering on east of Persia, and of course Asatru has been brought up quite a bit. Note that I'm not worried about a lack of depth or anything, just wondering about all the fascinating religions we can turn Europe into!

The second question, I believe it has been asked in passing but never answered, is whether regnal numbers will recognize individuals. By this I mean if King A III loses the throne of Exampleland to King B VI, and later manages to retake it within his lifetime, will he be A III once again or A IV. Hopefully the former. Thanks!

Yeah, Zoroatrianism is in. From screenshots and LPs I remember I can add Baltic pagans (Romuva) and Finnish pagans (something like Suomenusko, I am really sure). There are also several heresies like Monophysites, Lollards and so on. However to convert Europe to something different from Christianity you have either mod the game to let you play as non-christian from the start or have you heir tutored by someone of other faith and hope for conversion. Or maybe wait for the DLC ;-)

That's something I would like to know too.

In one of the developer diary videos, it's said that the regnal number is calculated by looking up the characters name in the database and see if there is another character with the same name that has previously been King. My understanding of this would be that if King A III will take back the throne, he'll probably be King A III seeing as it's the same character.

What about this one - I'm Kevin XX. I've been Duke of Y for 200 years. All of a sudden, I become King of Z! Do I revert to Kevin I?

Or what about this - I'm King Kevin XX. I lose my title of the kingdom in a war, and I'm reduced to a duchy. Again, am I Kevin I? OR! What happens if I just become a count - am I Kevin? I believe I read something about only Ducal and Royal (Imperial too) Tiers having regnal numbers.

You would be Kevin I, if you're the first Kevin of that Kingdom. However, you would still be Duke Kevin XX of your Duchy, which would show up if it became your primary title again. That said, your son, also named Kevin, would be Kevin II of Kingdom and Kevin XXI of Duchy. And counts lack regnal numbers, only dukes and kings get it.

*cough* Emperors *cough*

You can still see any regal numbers for a certain tittle if you chose the tab where you see the history of the holders of that tittle. There you will be listed with that tittles regal number.

From playing the demo, it seems that rulers do indeed get the same regnal number upon retaking the throne (which is quite awesome ). And I think it would be cool if the minor religions had their own symbols instead of the generic one, like Mjolnir for Norse or the Faravahar for Zoroastrian, but it makes sense to have a catch-all "other" symbol. Now I'm wondering if those religions have moral authority, anybody know?
