Hi, a couple issues about barbarians have come up in my long game, of which I'm about halfway through.

1. The manual says there's an option (out of four) to ask barbarians to settle in the province but so far I've only had two options. Is this something available later in the game?

2. About 20 years ago, the Macedonians had a civil war and one of the provinces belonging to the rebels was Dalmatae. Right off one the neighboring empty provinces had a barbarian uprising, which then went and captured Dalmatae. Then the civil war ended and Dalmatae became a de facto barbarian "state". I tried moving troops there and declaring war but neither option is available. The barbarian "state" simply exist in some kind of limbo. Has anyone else had this happen and can I do anything?

1.) You can invite them to settle after they looted one (or more) of your provinces.

2.) Bug. Only known solution to me would be savegame editing, to bring the province back under Macedons control.

2) i had that happen too, for me also rebels were involved. It did not hurt very much except that barbarians wandering through those provinces gave no slaves later.
A bug indeed, and should be fixed.
