Two problems setting up my new account (belatedly)

I'm just trying to update my games lists etc and connect my Steam account and the forum is saying I have to create a profile, OK, but I have two problems with this I'd like help with:

1. The system is telling me it hasn't verified my email adress yet, has sent me an email, and is waiting for me to confirm. The problem is I have not received the confirm email yet (one hour or so) but the email on my account is correct (and yes I have checked spam folder). What do I do?

2. On attemting to connect my Steam account (which I assume registers my newer Paradox games on Steam) I get a web page in what looks like Swedish or Norwegian. Steam sends me a code via email, but I can't make head or tail of the Swedish/Norwegian form.

2. Not sure we can help with that, seems like a Steam thing. Is the URL steam or paradox? Does Google Translate help?

Why would you get an email with a code anyway? That most certainly didn't happen when I linked my steam account.

Your Paradox account has now been verified manually, you should be fine from here.

Many thanks Andrew, Paradox account activated and Steam account linked successfully. Required passing a "Steam Guard" test on this (I now understand Finish) Steam web page, but I got a hint from somewhere on how to find the language change combo box on it, so was eventually able to complete it OK. Thanks again.
