I have just played a few hours of the game. I have found, so far, 2 minor bugs:

1. There are only 6 scenarios but ONE is duplicated: Das Zeitalter des (der) Merkantilismus. Very odd.

2. Some military tech doesn't fit on the box. Other messages are also overimpressed.

I have had a problem, but I supose is my fault. My knowledge of German is not so good. I haven't been able to annex Granada, playing as Spain, although I have conquered the province and the city. I think I have chosen no annexation option, maybe.

The scenario files are not easy to hack around. I had thought of making 4 scenarios, but it'll take more time than expected.

Best,

Laruku

I have conquered both Granada and Navarra, playing as Spain, but I cannot annex them. There is still the red line around those countries, although they have no armies and the cities have my flag on them. The countries keep on existing and demmanding peace (?). I thought the one-province country annexation was direct after conquering it.
What on Earth should I do?
I have put on and off the 'forced annexation' option at the start, but it has not effect.

Other minor problems is the sound. It cannot be turn off, although I put to zero, both music and sound effect.

Please, help.

Best,

Laruku

Can't help with the province question, but I found that if you turn off the sound it will eventually stop but may take as long as ten minutes to register the change. The first time I turned everything off, but it kept playing, so I turned off the volume on my speakers, and when I turned them back up 30 minutes later the sound had stopped. Then I turned the sound effects back on and after 5-10 minutes, I suddenly started getting sound effects again and, thankfully, NO music.

Hope that helps.

I tried it, but after asking for peace, they only give me tribute (money), no province at all. And the 'annexation' option is not lighted.
I have read the manual about this topic, but it doesn't explain, step by step, how to annex a country when conquering it.

And thanks, von Curow for your tip.

And you have forced-annexation option set to ON?

I think you may have missed it.. if force annexation is on and you conquer the country you get an extra text page when offering peace before the Demand/offer selection... There you get an annex button and a cancel button below the text.

OK for one,

Yes it is in the manual.

and no 2. It's easier than brushing your teeth.

Just take a bit of time, read the manual and you'll know everything.

Welche seite, bitte? Ich habe nur das Deutsche manual. Hast du das Inhaltsverzeichnis gelesen?

If you German is not good enough Greven, is not my fault. I have read page 71 'Annexionen', but there were only diplomatic ones. And in pages 73 and 74, there is talked about annexation by force, but, as I have not the English copy neither the English manual, I'm still wanting to find the step-by-step explanation, man. I just had to imagine that there should be used right click for some options, and so on.

And Sapura, I have not spent months of my life playing the game, as I imagine you have. Perhaps you find easier something that is not so straightforward as it should be. You have deceptioned me.

We haven't still answer about the minor bugs that are spread in the German release. I hope a patch will soon fix them. I wish this will not angry you, so touchy as you are.

Anyway, I wanted to thank Johan for his patience with me. He knows how to thank ours, the customers, for buying his game.

I want to contribute to this superb game with some scenarios I will have finished this afternoon. I'll post in my pages. Although some especifications, like countrymission, I have still no clear, I dare to post them.

Best,

Antonio Leal

I've adressed all reported problems (i think).. and are currently testing the patch to make sure it does not cause any new problems.

I'd estimate to have a patch available before the weekend.

Anyway, keep asking questions Laruku, i hope i can answer them all :)

Johan,

could you elaborate on the fixed problems? A list? We could add something if someone found a missing error...

It's custom to add a txt file to the patch or something like that to let the user know which issues the patch deals with, I'm quite sure that Paradox will do this

Laruku,

It's not a question of 'deception'.

Everything you need to know is in the manual. Surely it would take you less time to check the particular passage of the manual rather than waiting hours / days for a reply from someone here. Secondly, it was not Greven who translated the manual into German so don't blame him.

Just a suggestion, since I didn't have any problems whatsoever getting to grips with the game within a few hours (apart from the bugs..) :)

Nein aber Ich hat das Handbuch gelest. ;)

Read page 85-86 (German ed.):
I quote:
'Es gibt nur eine Ausnahme, 'die militärische Annexion': Wenn Sie alle Städte eines Feindes kontrollieren, können Sie die vollständige Annexion anbieten. Sie erhalten dann alle Provinzen Ihres Gegners (eingeschlossen Kolonien und Handelsposten), und dieser hört auf, als souveräner Staat zu existieren.' etc etc etc...

Now if it was a step-by-step push the right button explanation you wanted then of course I have to say that such thingy doesn't exist in the Manual. If it would have been included for every button pushing thing in the game it would have swollen into some 2000 pages. Actually the 'bottonology'knowledge is a prerequsite for using the Manual. And that is what you get when you play the tutorial( Manual-Ger.version p.9). If you had played it to its end you would have known the step-by-step button pushing conserning Peace Offerings.

P.S. The 'Table of Content' in the German version is a bit short in my taste and I have heard that many people are interested in a more complete index-system. And of course I will try to remedy this. My first action will be to create a more through 'Table of Content' paging all headlines.

To Greven: Thanks for your acclaration.

To Sapura: I didn't blame anyone. I didn't even know who was the manual writer. I know now it was Greven. What annoyed me was your disgusting answer. If you want to be a salesman, or whatever you want, you must be polite and respectful to anyone.

I'm a Chemistry teacher and, when a boy/girl comes to ask me something about a problem, I don't laugh at him and say: 'That's is in the book. It's easier than brushing your teeth' For me it could be dammned easy because I have spent years of studying, but he/she may find it very odd.

And this is a game. I didn't pretend to blame anyone for doing bad his job: I just wanted an advice, better if polite. That's all.
