Nice, though the speeds are real slow on the PZ 1 when it was a really fast tank, 50 km/h on-road; 37 km/h off-road, the Opel Blitz in MOT could do 80 KPH on road.

8 KPH would be more like a King Tiger tank in the mud.

Yes individually every tank or truck or half truck could move with quite a high speed - quickly burning fuel it had and heavily using engine resources. But unit (battalion etc) on march will have a lot lower speed due to organization problems and resource optimization. German tank regiment had (as far as i remember) around 120 tanks and also lots of other vehicles, some artillery and so on, thus one regiment would take more than a kilometer on road and its is quite hard to organize movement on higher speed. AFAIK 8 km/h is a high speed even for a motorized units.
Sorry if this post is a mess. :)

They even added the names of the different regiments (3.Schützen-Brigade "Eberswalde")! :D

Kudos to the guy in charge of historical research.
I'd add " " around the name though, looks better IMO :)

Hmm, do I see an option to "load in airtransport" there?
Would be kinda nice one could load stuff other than paratroops in airtransports (they can be loaded, but can't use airbourne assault [and can only land in places with a {large enough} airfield])

Well, thats what I kinda hope :)

No need to apology. We get your point.
Your numbers might be a bit high. I don't remember the 36 numbers, but in 44 the SS panzer divisions had only 126 tanks (Standard Heeres had 103). And in reality they had less, often a lot less...

I believe the speed will probably increase with research and upgrades.

Welcome to the forum! Nice first post. :)

Yes we do. Thats great news!

I belive more specific loading on both transport ships and transport aircrafts + divisions having a transport weight are great steps forward. Even if these options will be restricted in the Retail version of the game it leaves open doors to modders to implement it fully.

In fact it can be said that tank regiment had those 100 tanks, since from around 1940-1941 German panzer divisions had 1 tank reg. and 2 motorized infantry (panzer grenadiers) regs.
My number was something I remember from 1941 panzer division structure organization. Maybe it was number about light (armed with light tanks) panzer division (which had more tanks) or SS panzer division. Don't remember exactly.

Welcome to the forum! Nice first post. :)
Thanks :)

It kinda looks greyish, probably meaning "No go" so no solid confirmation here, but it could be a good sign :)

I really like the addition of names to the regiments, makes it more interesting. I can finally create a seventh Panzer division with the 7th and 17th Panzer regiments and the 7th Schutzen regiment!

Thats no problem since the division selected is a panzer division :p Its not supposed to be air transportable.

What Im happy about is that there is a button at all. That means its very likely we will be able to mod our light divisions (Mtn/Plain Inf) to be air transportable even if its not in the retail game.

Also GREAT work on the brigade detail Paradox. I think I speak for most when I say this is above all expectaions.

I think that the early panzer divisions had three armored regiments of like 96 tanks each. This was changed by the time Germany invaded France when the panzer divisions were cut to two armored regiments. After France there didn’t seem to be much standardization on exact numbers because it seemed to depend on what model tank the regiment was equipped. Generally the newer models had fewer numbers per regiment.
