1) This is mostly correct, though I'd use the term marketing rather than advertising as advertising is generally just the ads part, and the content we produce on the stream is longer form. But that is just nitpicky language stuff from a marketing nerd (me).
2) We do get some money from Twitch, this is due to us not being able to turn off ads. There is no way to stream without having non-prime member see ads on Twitch. On Youtube we do not monetize our content. You should at most get one ad at the start of the stream, and then no more ads until you turn the stream off. If you're watching a VOD is should work the same way. On Youtube there should be no ads, if there are let us know.
3)You would have watched one ad, and unfortunately we can't do much about that, and we are already minimizing the amount of ads viewers watch on free access platforms like Youtube and Twitch.
We've had some suggestions from community members that we should turn on subscribers on the Twitch channel and give people a chance to get emotes. I am personally hesitant to do that until we can offer a good deal for those that want to subscribe. For now our content should be as ad free as possible, but without building our own platform for streaming video it will be very hard to make the experience totally ad free.
