we make our job and you can make a reworked scenario from 36 to 44 so it fits together
(btw: thats no offend !)

Inner Circle said:but in vanilla HOI2, for example from 1936 to 1946, we have 6 inf models
Inner Circle said:about the timeline: if we invest some time in that timeline to make some events, we would make this game interesting from the start until to the end [ but this can wait after the first version(s) of this mod is released ]
Ritterkreuz said:Yes, but what years!?The bloodiest years in the history of mankind.
My suggestion is that we should remove the 1959 Model Div.(maybe the 1951 Model Div. too). The reason would be the fact that weapons and the organisation model didn't change so much like it did during WWII.
Agreed. The number and complexity of the mod will grow later on, now we should concentrate on the first version.
P.S.
Ostheim did you received my files for the China area. I'm not sure if I sent you all the files![]()
Inner Circle said:18/36 inf = interwar or prewar
39/41 inf = WW2
43/45 inf = Advanced WW2
47/49 inf = semi-postwar
51/53 inf = postwar
55/57 inf = early Cold War
59/61 inf = mid Cold War
61/63 inf = late Coldwar
the numbers in yellow represent the inf models. This means we have a 18/39/43/47/51/55/59/61 inf model. the other ones represent techs which will improve the values of the inf models to the next ( this time non-existent ) inf model. these techs (maybe some additional techs like improved equipment or whatever) have to be researched to get a new inf model we could call them like i did in green.
Ritterkreuz said:"Huston, we've got a problem"
A time ago, I and Ostheim disscused about a possible change of the starting date. The most probable date would have been 23 June 1944. The reasons for choosing this day are plenty (the end of the Imphal battle in Bruma, the start of Henyang battle in central China, the start of Cherbourg city assault, but most importantly, on the same night, the Soviets start their greatest offensive - Operation Bagration)
As you see, this date is quite perfect, BUT... in my opinion, it has a huge flaw. The problem is related to the Japanese strategic situation. After the battle of Philippine Sea, the naval power of Japan is completly shattered(2 CV, 1 CVL sunk, heavy damge to other capital ships and more important, the losses of carrier trained pilots are staggering and ireplaceable), so a with a 23 June start date, the chances of Japan to survive are close to null.
Because of this, I think that an 19 June strating date would be more appropriate.
Opinions?
