Tweak my Macbook Pro 2009?

Is there any way to tweak my 2009 Macbook Pro with Intel HD3000 video card so that it will play CK2 without all the flickering? Or do I need to shell out for a new computer?

What OS X version do you have? 10.8 has better video drivers than earlier ones.

You are right. Upon checking the video card is actually NVIDIA GeForce 9400M.

I currently have OSX 10.6.8.

Would upgrading to 10.8 fix the flickering problem?
