Ok, let's think about the timing. It seems to me that if the original game moves its timeslot, we have a consensus on Saturdays 1500 GMT, as it was before. If not, then we need to consider these options:

Sunday, 1500 GMT
Saturday, 1500 GMT
Friday evenings US time

I suggest that each of us rate each of these as 'impossible', 'difficult', or 'acceptable', and we will use the time that minimises the amounts of impossibles and difficults. For myself, the Saturday and Sunday times are acceptable while the Friday time is difficult. Again note that this voting is on the assumption that the other game does not move. If it does, then I think it's the old timeslot for us.

Well then; not everybody has chimed in yet, but we've got three impossibles on Sunday, two impossibles and two difficults on Friday. It looks to me as though we are stuck with the Saturday time, whether we like it or not.

All right, let me try to sum up the current state of the voting, as well as who's playing.

Timeslot: This is complex. We appear to have two firm votes for the current TWBW timeslot; two for that time if TWBW moves, otherwise Sunday; two for a different time; one for Saturday night in Central time; and one against Sunday. Whew!

Save: Two votes for TWBW save. Two abstentions. Four votes for a clean slate.

Game type: Three Conquest, two Intrigue, three abstentions.

DVIP or not: 4.5 for (counting Fasq as a half), one against, 2.5 abstentions.

Well then, counting all that up, it looks to me like we have a rough consensus on a new, clean-slate game, Conquest variety, using the DVIP mod. I do not think we can say there is consensus on the time slot. Also, we appear to have 8 players at least tentatively interested: Lurken, Fasquardon, Sid, ulmont, carillon, Varyar, hyme, and me. We can probably add Anders and Sterk to that list, for a total of ten.

I should note that earlier and later on Friday makes a big difference, if I'm reading the timezone map right, 10 pm central time is 4 am for me, which is impossible, but midnight central time would be acceptible, and 6pm central time would be acceptible also.

Yeah, I'm in eastern us time, so 10pm central is 11pm for me and 6pm is 7pm. If we're playing for four hours, I can't really do 11pm-3am, and especially can't do 1am-5am (the midnight central us start). 7pm-11pm (the 6pm central start) might work, but is more difficult than the morning starts.

Hi Mango, I think you are in good time, actually. I believe we have ten players, some of whom may drop; having settled on a maximum of twelve, we certainly have room for you. Take a seat and tell us what times are good for you.

As far as times go I can play pretty much all over the weekend bar Saturday nights (7GMT onwards)

Ok, it looks like you just squeak in to the Saturday time, then, as 4 hours starting at 1500 takes us to 1900, your limit. Will that work? If all else fails, you would be welcome to play for, say, 3 hours and 45 minutes, and drop out near session end and be ghosted for 15 minutes.

It seems to me, with apologies to hyme, that the Saturday time is still the one that minimises the pain, since it has no impossibles. I suggest, then, that we adopt that time and plan to meet again this Saturday, with the latest version of DVIP installed, for a new Conquest game limited to Dukes.

Speaking of Dukes, I think I'd like to take Gwynnedd, if there are no objections? Alternatively I would go for Saxony.
