Turtledove Mod For Testing

Calling all Turtledove Fans!!

I have a mod based on the 1881 'How few remain' novel at a beta stage (well, I guess its beta..)

I anticipate some interest but before a release would anyone would care to do some play-testing to see how it flows? I was thinking perhaps experienced Modders at this stage. If you are a modder AND an avid Turtledove fan..then sign up.

Ideally, I would like to get some feedback on how it plays, bugs, any advice for events I missed, plus anything else of relevance. But be nice, this is my first go at modding and it is not uber-complex.

Generally, the mod is fully playable, I have been using existing event pics unfortunately (although this will change once I get a decent art package )

At this stage, there is no continuation into the 'Great War' novels. (I am still re-reading them, taking notes) this is only 2nd Mexican war related stuff.

So, if any modders are up for it, leave an email address here or in a PM.

PS-I dont really want to be sending this to loads of people, so only get involved if you have the time to play test this and offer some feedback. Otherwise, just wait for the mod-it wont be long

'If you are interested in this mod, ie-would like to download it when it is complete. Post here to express interest. Otherwise, if no one wants it it isnt worth all the effort in making it'

I'll try and post some pics later today.

But I have a question for the forum. I have 2 versions at the moment-

1) starts just after the first war of secession ended (set to 1865) This gives you a chance to build up a bit before kick off.

2) Second version starts a mere 6 months before kick off, which gives a lot less time to prepare but is probably more accurate.

Any opinions/reasonings for which is prefered..?

Here you can see the sale of the mexican provinces plus a highlight on the Army of the Trans-Mississippi (including the 5th Camelry!!)

Here you can see the Army of Northern Virginia ( led by stonewall Jackson)engaging the enemy in Washington, plus Canadian and British Units have landed also. Off screen, French troops have also begun an invasion!!

Looks pretty good so far. I was wondering when someone was gonna make a Turtledove Mod. I had pitched the idea for one based on the Great War series a while back. It turned into a lot of talk. I mean I could give the events but I don't know how to write them

Nice to have a Turtledove mode. But should it not start with the sucsession? It would be more fun to play with the events you make now.
More events -> Help the French to subdue Mexico
-> The purcase of sonara and chihuaha
-> The Spanish-Confedarate war ==> annexion of cuba (with statehood)

But anyway, I LIKE


and a imaginary timeline of events between 1883-1914 that the books do not cover for all other countries, their reaction to a slave owning society and the second mexican war and emanicipation.
