The hotfix didn't touch Afghanistan at all, sorry to say. It didn't include puppeting AFG at the start nor did it include anything else...
Afghanistan has a supply issue also, as I said earlier
I'm going to release a hotfix 3 very soon.

In my game Afghanistan is not my puppet ! I have to cheat to get them in my alliance !
The event is not supposed to puppet AFG at the start or to make them join the alliance otherwise all the other members would go to AFG fight the war, so it's WAD. But I will try to find another solution for it.

In my game as Iraq my airforce is in Florida for some reason !
I already fixed that but I think I forgot to include in hotfix 2. Thanks.

I'll give you some numbers for Cuba. It might not have been a major power in itself, but with the large Soviet subsidies and it's commitment in spreading socialism Cuba intervened into other countries more than most larger powers.

In 1985 it had 800 advisors in Ortega's Nicaragua.
That same year it's troop levels in Angola were at 40 000 men.
It had around 3000 men in Ethiopia.
The game starts with the USSR giving subsidies only to it's European allies and having 0 relations with Cuba whose independence it should guarantee and where it should have troops and aircraft stationed. It should also start off providing it with suplies and other needed material to finance it's adventures in Africa and Latin America, such as the help it sent to the Salvador guerillas, not to mention the fact that it fought the largest tank battle in post-WW2 Africa against SA in southern Angola.
Thanks, if you have ideas to simulate this war please tell me.

Come on, it is cute isn't it? :D
MrNazar is already working on making pictures for doctrines.

Thanks, if you have ideas to simulate this war please tell me.

There will be some problems. By 1985 the two sides were in the Angolan civil war:
In the red corner:

Angolan government let by the Marxist MPLA (People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola)
The massive Cuban force.
SWAPO South West African People's Organisation- a leftist guerilla group fighting to liberate Namibia, they were allowed use of Angola as a base of operations.
They were all supplied by equipement and advisors from the Soviet block.

In the blue corner:

FNLA (National Liberation Front of Angola) - a right wing group supported by the US mostly through it's Zaire ally.(Mainly made up of the Bakongo people who also make up a large part of the population in both Congos)
UNITA (National Union for the Total Independence of Angola) - The main opposition to MPLA. Established with by Jonas Savimbi, a capable commander as his means of becoming the country's leader. Starting off as a maoist to win support of China and the country's peasants, by 1985 Savimbi and UNITA had an anti-communist ideology to win over the support of the US. (Mostly supported by the Ovimbundu ethnic group)
South Africa, fighting in order to weaken SWAPO and make sure that the government in Angola doesn't help the internal enemies of appartheid.

In 1985 this conflict can be simulated simply as a war between South Africa and a Cuba-Angola alliance. SWAPO, FNLA and UNITA units can be within Angola' and South Africa's army. If South Africa reaches Luanda it gets an event chain which will probably place Savimbi as the right wing leader of Angola. However, after Cuba and South Africa withdrew from the conflict, the Angolan factions continued their battles and I'm not sure how to simulate this. Rebels and events maybe?

I wanna see bizarro land of Angolan-Cuban (maybe with Soviet or GDR expeditionary forces) advancing on Johannesburg!

Also as USSR I got much dissent from the Afghan War casualties events, but I repeatedly eliminated it via the "Invest in Infrastructure+Research" Decisions. With much more money around those decisions could be more expensive than in vanilla. Or the dissent reduction could be much smaller/removed. You already benefit from the increased research modifier and blueprints/infrastructure.

Especially if you are trying to reform and when I implement some new events.

I was playing around on this mod recently and noticed four things:

1. The Laccadive Islands near India are owned by the Maldives, but should be owned by India.

2. North and South Korea seem to have misplaced cores in China

3. North Korea doesn't have any cores in central South Korea around

4. Libya owns Bardai and Tekro, when they should be owned by Chad.

Libya might have won its war with Chad. They fought over the tiny strip of land that is their border due to a French and Italian (?) mapping dispute from a long time ago. Chad won in real life due to Libyan incompetence, but Libya basically always wins in the mod

Question for the Alternate Historical Route for this; (For the graphic pack im putting together)

If DDR was to remain independent past 1990 and maintained its military, would the Army's camo evolve into what the Polish or Russians have from the tan rain drop pattern or develop a german like pattern from previous ones such as ones from WW2 or Soviet Camo?

Hi Hansnery,
First of all excellent mod, it is really awesome and for me very stable, actually very very stable to be an Alpha.

I've come across a couple of bugs and some issues though, I don't know if they are known or not so I'll put them here anyway:

1-NATO doctrines do not upgrade HQs and some NATO countries (Italy and France for example) don't have them, is it WAD?
2-Paratroopers and Marines brigades are not buildable, I don't know if divisions are I must check again.

That's all for bugs I've found and have not saw on this board. Now issues:

1-There is a lack of resources,metals especially, in the early game and it becomes worse later.
2-Is there a way to increase the research technology? Or is it a placeholder for next versions?
3-I think Mandela decisions should be event instead, I played until 2000 as south africa without firing it with no consequences, mantaining apartheid should be possible but costly in my opinion, maybe leave them as decision but add a dissent increasing event that pops from time to time if you don't pick one of the options and a civil war if you keep him in prison (for next version of course).
4-How did you calculate IC levels? Was it only balancing or did you base it on GDP or industrial production?
5-Brazil builds huge GDP, it surpassed USSR in my South African game reaching >600 actual IC by 1995.
6-If I may, I would suggest some changes in italian tech teams listed below. (name: specialities to be added)

Oto Melara:automotive, technical efficiency;
ENEA:nuclear physics;
Comando Logistico:management, gen. equipment;
Accademia Militare di Modena:Training, mountain training, airborne training;
Iveco:automotive;
Agustawestland:avionics, aircraft testing (note: it should be AgustaBell in 1985, I know tech teams are from MDS but just for perfection :p);
Alenia:avionics, aircraft testing, fighter design;
Fincantieri:technical efficiency;
Beretta:munitions, training;

Not misplaced. There are a lot of ethnic Koreans there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yanbian_Korean_Autonomous_Prefecture
4. Libya owns Bardai and Tekro, when they should be owned by Chad.
They are owned by Chad but are under Lybian control. The two countries were fighting a war at the time. Lybia always wins it in the mod even though it lost IRL, this needs some work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chadian–Libyan_conflict

I agree that Chadian war needs to be ballanced. Chadians enjoyed French support after all, so maybe they should be getting help via events? Libya should still theoretically have a chance of winning this war, they weren't really that stereotypically incompentent as they also performed some successful and demanding operations like airlifting units over big distances. They also enjoyed support from Warsaw Pact (I read NVA of DDR did some help with logistics), and since that's alternate history where Soviets can be more ambitious and could offer more support (if Libya manages to take down Chad in spite of French support, that would increase prestige of pro-Soviet forces in region and could also allow convert operations against regional anti-Soviet regimes like Egypt and Sudan where some ''regular'' unrest could be used to bring Egyptian neo-Nasserists and maybe also Sudanese communists to power).

@ Insert-Name: I look forward to cooperation with you (will PM you when ready), but as I'm going trough the game, I see that lots of basic issues concerning ministers need to be addressed first, so maybe we should wait this to be solved first before adding more detailed paths. What good would be having super-detailed faction fights in Quebec if even majors lack some main stuff? But I don't think adding more details for minor states is some facultative and obscure hobby, I really support type of rich scenario that won't be only about playing USA and USSR but could make people enjoy other nations and would be amused by all kinds of events and details showing out all over the world.

I'd also like to know if anyone else is working on ministers, so I can stay out of their field of work. If so, can you provide me on info about what anyone is working on, so I won't interfere with someone's work if I get any new ideas? But if someone is doing general improvement, that's also okay and I'll gladly stay out not to bother for now.

Interesting question! I reckon they would have used a prototype (pre-)WW2 camouflage, like they used the M56 helmet which was an older design.
