Turning a vassal into a releasable country

Hello there:

In Pimparel's "Even More Dumber's Guide to Make Your Own Country" it is said that if you define a country as 'vassal=no', then the owner won't be able to release it as a satellite.

My question is:
Is it possible to change 'vassal = no' to 'vassal = yes' with an event? I'm thinking of creating a new country, and making it releasable as a satellite after a certain date, but not before.

Is it even possible to do so?

No way to do it with an event AFAIK. It might be possible to have two entries in revolt.txt for the tag with different availability dates. If not, you'd need to use two tags (which could use the same in-game name although that could be confusing).

Thanks for your reply, Jdrou. I've just discovered that countries have a given date before which they don't exist.
