I think such a split would be feasible. Keep in mind, the names Pontic and Cilician are just REGIONAL! This way, regardless of the people's religion inhabiting the regions of Pontus/Karadeniz or Cilicia, we will be able to show the continuity of the culture of the region even if the spoken languages changes.
