Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria Focus trees, but still no expanded Italy or Soviet Union?

Why has there been an influx and increase on these minor nations when it comes to focus trees, while ignoring two Major Countries, that were actually important, and both of which are the only major nations left in the game to still have base version 1.0 focus trees. Italy's focus tree is about the same size as Spain's industrial tree for either branch. Just seems that priorities are in the wrong spots in my opinon.

USSR is getting a new focus tree most likley with the next expansion, Italy will most likley be updated then or at a later date.

Can people take a chill pill the uppcoming dlc is only a Country Pack so that they can give more nations there own trees at a faster rate

Indeed, Italy and USSR need a upgrade for quite some time. Anyway Turkey is one of the most played nations and the next update will be a big one they said, so for 1.11 'Barbarossa' I expect the soviet rework (cross fingers).

Be glad that while Major Updates still comes yearly, PDX decides to add country pack in-beetween to sate our needs. Now i expect PDX to consistent with this style.

I have a feeling that both Soviet Union and Italy will be updated in the Barbarossa DLC. Just like both Germany and Japan were updated in the Waking Tiger DLC.

The new country pack was largely farmed out, and it seems the main team is working on major expansions (seemingly one each for Soviet-centered and Italy-centered). Also, major reworks take a lot more effort than minor ones.

I hope that Paradox can go with this pattern from now on... centering expansions on the remaining major countries... while the country packs go for the minor countries.

From first dev diary:

The approach we took was to recruit a freelancer to work on the focus trees while the rest of the team in Stockholm worked on the next big DLC, which would eventually become La Resistance.

If I read this right the prioritization was that a freelancer literally made this dlc pack months ago while the team was working on La Resistance. So arguing this doesn't fully work because at the time it was made France hadn't had their reworked focus tree yet.
More importantly though it's a freelancer not the dev team, meaning that no resources on improving the game were taken away beyond maybe the mail sent back and forth to contact the person which I doubt is the job of the dev team.

I think (hope ) than the next expansion have a red focus, new focus tree for soviet, italy and a red path to italy (maybe germany too, after all its the most played nation).
New political mechanics for five years plan too ??
