Does anyone know why Russia doesn't have a CB Shield for Tula?

Is there a historical reason?
Is it just a game programming tool to give the ToT a gentle nudge?
Was it just forgotten during the initial programming, wasn't caught in beta & has subsequently been fixed in patches/EUII?

If this has been done to death in previous threads, a quick link to one of these would be greatly appreciated (I suppose that I COULD just sort through them myself, but I don't think that I'm really putting too much of a strain on the traffic on this particular board by asking)...

I think they just forgotten it, but thats just my guess. I cant figure out the historical reason for not having a russina shield in Tula. Isnt there a russian shield in Tula in a later version or was it IGC?

My father used to say (and still does): Being second is like being last: you're not first.


As for Tula; it's probably because the game makers didn't want to give Russia an easy CB on Poland.

Odd, since just about all of Poland east of the Dneiper has a Russian CB Shield.

It used to... Now that they have moved to Colorado, I'm cheering for the Montreal Canadiens.

And if you are a Montreal fan this season, there are many reasons to look like this: . 6-0 in pre-season games so far. We have talent, speed, a deep roster, and arguably the best goaltender in the league. It looks like we're still going to see our team playing during the spring (playoff time!).

Where do you live, by the way? Citadell=...

Citadell is my loaction in the RPG 1420 forum, you should realy try it out. Have played it half a year RL and it still keeps getting better

Otherwise Im living in the "gloriful nation of meatballs" or as some say... Sweden

Montreal isnt my favourit, but I do cheer on Colorado occasionally. Peter Forsberg and so on... Also have a weaknes for the Rangers

But this is of course not the real Hockey, the real Hockey is played in the "Elitserien" in Sweden. Where the Wolfes rules...

I can read English perfectly well, but I still... hum... need some practice when it comes to writing. So, there will be a long period of time before I even try a RPG.

-I can live with the Avalanche; they have some fantastic players... But the Rangers? This is a team where every good player gets overpaid and becomes lazy. They will still not go further than the second roung this year even though they've acquired Pavel Bure, Eric Lindros, Bobby Holik, Darius Kasparaitis and Vlad Malakhov in the past few years... The Habs are the team this year. And I agree that the Elitserien seems great too, with all the speed and the larger surfaces. But unfortunately Swedish games aren't televized here (except a certain game against Belarus a few months ago) .

Tula is definitely a capital province; it's placed in such a strategic area that the country which controls it automatically has a huge advantage. Opinions?

Hmm, Yes you may be right. Through history Tula have maintaned a great strategic value, so It isnt odd the gamemakers... Tula also reminds me of a girl I ones knew, but thats another story...hmm,yes where was I... Tula, Tula. I just think the gamemakers made a misstake. Hey they are only mortals after all

I have no problems with this degenerating into a hockey thread -- but since I'm a Blackhawks fan, I DO have problems with the Avalanche!

As for Tula, well, I'm still playing EUI 1.01 right out of the box, without any patches. I just have not had any real desire to download anything to "spice it up" & my computer is a little too slow for EUII, so here I am.

Of course, I WILL have to break down & buy a new computer for HoI...
