Things are going along very quickly, as I'd hoped.
Of the starting Politburo members, only three lack names; very encouraging!
My goal is to write the prologue tomorrow or Friday, so you can see exactly what will happen in the early stages. Once that's finished, we have some stuff to vote on. Beginning with: what victory conditions do we intend to use? We are getting this settled now so we don't have a We, the People style fiasco at the end. The following conditions are allowed for the Comintern in TFH; we can achieve them through war or peace.:
Operation Bagration: Western Poland must be part of the Comintern, as must Berlin.
Operation August Storm: Manchuria/Manchukuo, Communist China, and Korea must be part of Comintern
Puppet goals for: Poland, Sweden, Finland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria.
Comintern presence for: Yugoslavia, Albania, East Germany, Denmark, Norway, Manchukuo, Korea, Greece
Occupation of: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania
Communist control of the straits (i.e. Istanbul)
Communist control of: Turkey as a whole, Frankfurt, Munich, Tokyo, Sapporo, Hong Kong, Karelia, Spain, Czechoslovakia, Mexico.
As far as the game is concerned, the important thing is just getting a country in the Comintern. Whether that's through puppet, conquest, or whatever is up to us. We need 15 victory conditions, so I will leave it up to any full member of the Politburo to propose a slate of goals. You can slightly modify the goals if you like (i.e., we have to annex Poland, but just installing Communism in Hong Kong is fine, say). You may even add different goals; they can be modded in by an experience modder (i.e. not me) or we can just ignore the game when it says we've won.
The important thing is settling this now. I'd like all proposals to be submitted by
Sunday at 10 PM (-6 GMT), at which point we'll proceed to vote. Candidate members of the Politburo may submit proposals as well, but a full member must support it.
