Comrades
The new year also marks a new and final chapter in our struggle with the Japanese Imperialists in the East. The valiant Red Army has fought against superior numbers for over a year now. Finally, the numbers are in our favour. And whereas the Japanese struggled to take every metre of ground from our superior troops, the Red Army will blow through the enemy's ranks like the Siberian blizzard.
Spain
After the existing units are landed in Bilbao from the Red Fleet, 2 Mountain divisions are to take Salander.
The Red Fleet is to return to Livorno and then transport the 8th Army to Bilbao, 1 Corps at a time.
After 8th Army is transported to Livorno, the Red Fleet is to transport the 3rd Mountain Corps from Ferrol to Bilbao.
Further orders for Spain will then be given for March/April.
Far East - Operation Saturn
The Vladivostok Front (1st, 9th, 12th and 4th Shock Armies) is to maintain a defensive posture and hold the perimeter, awaiting the restoration of the Trans Siberian rail link.
The Siberian Front (3rd, 10th and 3rd Shock Armies, plus 17th Mechanized Corps) is to go on the offensive with a view to closing the Khabarovsk gap. Once the gap is closed, supplies can run directly to the Vladivostok Front, and we can begin reducing the pockets of the Kwantung Army as we reduced the German Army Group Centre in Poland. The Siberian Front will be the hammer to the Vladivostok Front's anvil.
The 2nd Mountain Corps will continue to anchor the western end of the line, and take opportunities for local advances if they present themselves.
The mountain division is to move across to the Sakhalin Island once the area opposite is clear of the Japanese, to then work its way down the Island.
I await confirmation of this plan by the SGO.

Europe - Spain
Operation Venus
With the completion of the transport of the 8th Army to northern Spain, the trap is set. The Stavka proposes a full converging offensive of 8th Army from the north and 5th Army to the south with Madrid in the centre as the final objective. The Stavka Strategic Reserve has also been assigned to provide assistance to both Armies ((SSR on AI too just for fun)).
In addition to Spain, the 10 Rifle Divisions which will be completed on 4.IV.1942 are to be deployed to Lwow to form the 13th Army with associated 43rd+ Rifle Corps. The Stavka will attend to formal command structures and assignment of commanders in May.
Asia - Manchuria

A quick glance at the map shows the great progress which the Siberian Front has made to restore the Trans Siberian rail link to the Vladivostok Front.

The Siberian Front will close the Khabarovsk pocket, as the hammer falling on the Japanese Kwantung Army pressed against the anvil of the Vladivostok Front defences. The Japanese pockets are to then be mopped up, with the Guard Divisions to be used for any overlooked areas.
The Siberian Front and Vladivostok Front will at the same time turn their attention to Harbin and the heart of Manchuria to overwhelm the remnant garrison and militia units. Manchuria will probably fall by early May once the forces mopping up the Kwantung Army can join the fight down south.
The Red Army forces in Mongolia will tie up the local Japanese units to prevent the Imperialists from withdrawing them East to shore up Manchuria. Local attacks, especially by the Mountain Divisions, are encouraged.
The Transport ships are to be placed in Vladivostok once completed, to await orders for May. The submarines have also been recalled for refit and repairs in expectation of assisting in the invasion of the Japanese Home Islands in May/June.

((That was remarkably fast! Unless Davout thinks there's anything I should know, I'll go ahead and play tonight.))
((Nothing known to look out for. The Mountain Divisions in Spain have been set on AI so you don't have to worry about moving them. The only thing to do in Spain is to watch the rapid overrun and take pretty pictures when you see fit. In Asia, the AI will do most of the heavy lifting. There are some Mountain Divisions on the far west end of the line in Mongolia to keep an eye on, and use the Guard divisions to help mop up pockets at the far east end of the line.
Otherwise, just adjust the research as projects are completed and keep an eye on production now and then. Upgrades will blow out as the tank and infantry equipment techs are completed - keep the low setting as is because IC can be diverted as production is completed and we do not have a burning need for upgraded troops at this time.
PS On checking the save game, I note some rebels in Finland. If you could dispatch the NKVD Cavalry Division in Finland to deal with them, that would be great but it can be dealt with in the next update if necessary.))
