Well I wrote everything down I could, so for those of you who couldn't catch it. If anything is wrong, feel free to correct it.
CK 2 Converter
- Will transfer religions across. If you have reformed Paganism, it will transfer across.
- Will transfer coats of arms/flags.
- Will transfer countries that don't exist.
- Muslim nations will be named after the Dynasty when transfered.
- Made by a team of two. A Programmer + Scripter.
- For the moment they have said they will keep patching it to retain compatibility.
- The game being converted was a standard Old Gods 867 start.
- It is a direct CK2 mod, you export the save in game.
- In turn this creates a mod in the EU4 launcher, which is the save game.
- No matter what date you export from, it will go to 1444.
- You only get the special religions such as Norse if you reform them (So in the stream they were shamanist not Norse).
- Vassal states based on Crown Authority, low Crown Authority results in independant states as Vassals. (Unique for HRE didn't catch that part)
- Tech Groups are based on your tech level and religion. So in 867 this resulted in the Scandanvian nations being Eastern Tech groups.
- You get the Export menu at the end game screen as well as in the normal menu.
- Armies = Roughly based on maximum manpower.
- CK2 converter should be released on the same day as EU4.
- Rulers are based on the skills of their CK2 equivilent. (Exact figures not given on this conversion)
- In regards to tech groups, all the same. But there is one unique super secret tech group they will not be talking about.
- In regards to national ideas, if say England transfers over it gets those unique national ideas.
- No special mechanics regarding heresy.
- It should convert save games from the last patch (1.103), any older then it can't be promised to work.
- It effectively works like a mod, but with some unique differences.
- Base Tax of a province is based on the number of settlements in CK2.
- Wars do not carry over in the converter.
-Hellenism might not carry over (needs to be checked on)
- Exported titles. All the non existant states will be created by the converter.
- The creatable states of EU4 such as Great Britain will be creatable.
- Every settlement considered equal, city not more than castle.
- Fraction of money converted over.
- Possible to upload saves to Steam Workshop given they are mods but Johan isn't too sure.
- Empire of Brittania is expected to tranfer into GBR. Not too sure though.
- Republics convert to Merchant Republics (Of course).
